Garcia Hotspur
Garcia Hotspur is a demon hunter extraordinaire. After his girlfriend Paula is kidnapped by the lord of the underworld, he'll stop at nothing to get her back—busting his way into Hell and obliterating anything that dares to stand in his way. And while he's deadly serious about saving Paula, he's not afraid to throw in a few puerile quips while he does so.
Paula
As beautiful as she is mysterious, Paula meets an unfortunate fate when she is kidnapped by Fleming and dragged into the underworld. Without wasting a second, Garcia plunges in after her, willing to risk it all to save his beloved girlfriend. However, as Garcia dives deeper into the depths of hell, he realizes there may be a bit more to her than meets the eye...
Johnson
Every protagonist has to have a right-hand man or skull. Johnson's not only a loyal companion to Garcia, but also a useful tool, turning into a torch, a variety of guns, and even a sweet ride. A former demon that has renounced the vile ways of the underworld, Johnson also provides vital information on the realm of the damned, recording it all in the aptly named Johnsonpedia. Don't let his British charm fool you though—he's got a bit of a naughty side as well.
Fleming
Every story's got to have a villain, and Fleming is the worst of the worst. The literal King of Hell, Fleming derives pleasure from the torment of others. His kidnapping and subsequent torture of Paula is not only painful to her, but to Garcia who is forced to witness her demise again and again. Getting to kill this asshole is just an added perk of the mission to rescue Paula.
George
This gluttonous demon can't help but eat everything in sight. From human organs to harmonicas, he'll put anything into his mouth. Unable to control his desires, he's been damned to forever be hungry in the depths of Hell. But if he gets between you and Paula, make sure he gets his fill of bullets.
Elliot
Elliot was once a rebellious boy whose dreams of flying became an obsession. Now as a demon, he soars high in the underworld skies in search of prey. While his sad childhood might make you hesitate for a second, once you see what he's capable of you'll have a hard time letting go of that trigger.
Justine
An elegant and commanding opera singer, Justine's voice is as beautiful as it is deadly, able to cause powerful tremors and summon horrific demons. Her voice was just as magnificent while she was alive, though she found herself crushed by society's unrealistic beauty standards. Even as a demon she is still plagued with this sadness, yet now she has the ability to weaponize her tears against anyone who dares to stand against her.

Placa Garcia
Garcia's purple leather jacket, "Purple Reign", may be iconic - but so are his tattoos. Originally only seen in the opening cutscene, Placa Garcia sheds his jacket and lets you experience the entire game shirtless, allowing you to truly appreciate those sick tats.
Ocho Corazones
"He took seven of those bullets, yet he survives..." Fans of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will surely recognize The Hero with Eight Hearts. This skull-in-a-birdcage badass is actually an alternate form of Johnson, who transforms after the untimely death of his partner in the faux SotD sequel, DAMNED: Dark Knight.
Demonio Garcia
To fight demons you must become a demon... The Demonio costume decks Garcia out with some rad demon essentials, including horns, spiky teeth, and a creepy-ass eyeball in his chest. Not only that - using this costume will also double your attack power, letting you obliterate all those lesser, loser demons with ease.
Kamikaze Garcia
Chosen by fans in a social media poll, Kamikaze Garcia is a deep-cut reference for the hardest-core Grasshopper fans. This outfit is a nod to the character Kamikaze Wataru from Kurayami Dance, a SUDA51-written manga that spun out of some of the earlier Damned concepts, and is unlocked after clearing the game once.
